From my experience so far they add rigidity and keep the bed knobs from moving on a longer run (less need to relevel the bed). In combination with the heat insulation cotton for the heated bed I noted a small reduction in bed vibration and noise (your experience may differ) In the end I do recommend this seller for the springs as you can choose from a nice variety of sizes and colors (2 is more than 1)
