Q: How long does it take to register conditions? i.e. can you move it from one pot to another and get correct readings in a short time?

JayVen Clean the blades and put it in another vase. It should check the new conditions in a matter of minutes

They cut well. Need to adjust the lazer direction.

I set it up without any bother and tried it in a few plant pots. I am quite experienced with plants and can tell if the water light and temperature are OK but have always found it difficult to monitor if the soil fertility is at the correct balance. I found the readings to agree with what I expected and in the pots where it said fertility was low I added fertilizer and it then said fertility was good so it definitely registered. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the app also gave me a lot of useful information.

It sticks well to flat surfaces and flat objects. If you look, quite a lot of things like cups and glasses and even bottles have a circular ridge on the bottom with most of the flat bit set in and the flat bit of these objects cannot be kept in contact with the pad so the adhesion is very poor on these. Also a number of calculators etc have small feet and once again if the feet are on the pad there is a very small area in contact. However flat to flat and they hold very well. In some situations it might be worth cutting the pad to fit inside the rim.

Some time ago my company bought a lazer measure that cost a lot lot more than this and had less functionality so for the price I was somewhat sceptical about the quality of what I would receive. I had no need to worry as it works exactly as stated and is very accurate. It is much faster than using a tape measure. I love that it will measure things that would have needed a ladder and or a helper to do with a tape measure. On a longish internal measurement It also saves having to get someone to hold the end of the tape, saves making sure the tape is pulled tight, saves making sure the tape is horizontal and saves having to bend the tape to fit it in just at the point you want to view the measurement. I have only had it a day so cannot comment on how it will perform over time but for now I am delighted.

I have 2 sets of 18650 batteries from different suppliers and it was impossible to put any of them in because the whole thing is about 2mm too short. As they are so cheap and I'm quite a handy man I thought to see if I could modify them. I took the electronics out of the plastic insert. Cut the end of the insert off with a craft knife, cut out the plastic bit that supports the positive terminal, put a battery in and forced the whole lot back into the aluminum case. I could then screw the end cap half way on and it did charge my phone. I would not buy again.

It fits the machine, and at the moment runs smooth and works. It looks good and feels good and rough as it should. I can't say if it is going to last a long time (which is one of my top priorities) cause I have only test used it.. If it doesn't last very long I will come back and change this review.
