pendersricardo yes,I've cut the strip into 8 parts of 8 LED's and that 2 times to make a 8x16 display and it works perfect. I recommend you to cut exactly in the middle of any two LED's and then scratch away the white paint on the top side for the data line, if you do that on the bottom side you'll see that the data line will be open circuit. Be careful because the pad to solder to is very very small, it's doable but you really need a steady hand and a small tip soldering iron so you don't damage the LED's. The 5V and Ground you can solder on the backside, there are two bus tracks that you can easily solder onto.
