This will do you much better than one of those stupid magnifying lights, but it's not anywhere near what you can get for a couple hundred more. It's good enough to just buying one for the occasional micro solder job. It will display when hooked directly to a computer or other input that can recognize it as a Webcam. Projecting that to a TV will get a really big detailed picture.

These are decent, probably the best you'll find at the price. they don't come with extra magnets or any materials on how you can use them in different ways.

Great so far, heats up quick and seems to transfer heat very well. Won't find a better iron for the cost. The design having the heater built into each tip means less potential failure points, plus somehow they cool quick enough to change by hand within a few seconds of turning the heat off. Takes Hakko tips, or cheaper alternatives easily found.

Decent flux, but not really quality. When it gets warm it is too thin to be of use. If you work quick you can make it work, but don't expect to be able to actually work with it.

BG912161057 Did you wire it up with a standard 120v plug?

Received quite promptly, and they do work. I just needed to fit a power plug to the wires. Points to note: - the wires are very short - the earth wire is not grounded to the chassis at all (it is stripped but just float behind the pcb) - it is tin not aluminium as the ad claims - the dimmer function does not work on the remote - it does not default to anything useful when you power on. it starts with random colour change flashing. so if you want to use it in the garden as suggested then you can just apply the power - there’s not many gardens I can think of that would prefer a disco blazing light show to start with!!! - if you leave the power applied and turn off with remote only, there is residual leakage to especially the green LEDs - they glow a bit even when off It would be good if you could bypass the remote function or change one of the chips logic to make the light default to steady white light. For the price though I’m not complaining really. just letting people know. For me it went from a cheap solution to a lighting issue I have to a waste of money really. I’ll find another use for them though.
