This little function generator is quite impressive. Any frequency or waveform can be called up at a push of the button. Missing from the description is that jyetech has a program available for this generator that allows you to define a custom waveform and upload it to the generator via usb. Assembly was easy - apart from the buttons there were just a few other components and I was easily able to assemble the generator in an evening.

I purchased the G600 as an aid for soldering and it works the way I expected to. I can observe the junction on the PCB and see that the solder is flowing. I can also inspect my soldering. The built-in light is nice, but it does cause a bit of glare. I found that by adding a small LCD light next to the G600 and aiming it at my focus that I'm able to reduce the glare and get a nice clear image. One use that I didn't intend, but found I like, is reading the values of small parts. Often, the writing on the parts is so small and faint that I almost don't see anything at all. But by placing the part under the G600, I'm able to get a very clear look at the part and read the value without having to strain my eyes.

Q: What are the 2 jst type plugins for?

BillFrugge Looking at the circuit, one of the connectors is connected across the speaker. This could be used to activate an external device when the alarm sounds. The other connector looks like it is connected to the transistor that turns the speaker on. Not sure what use that would be unless you wanted an external device to have the ability to sound the alarm. Perhaps you could connect two of these clocks together?

Q: can i use this to convert todo a sound synth? can i tale.the signal to a speaker?

BillFrugge If you used this as the basis of a synthesizer, you would not be happy with the results. What you would most likely be interested in is called a modular synthesizer, which I am setting out to do myself. You really need to be able to control the oscillator's parameters by adjusting potentiometers, rather than changing parameters, and provide the means to modulate each section with the outputs of another. See 'Music From Outer Space' for reference and ideas.
