Q: Does it always start in moon mode or does it have memory?

Jacob Surely it doesn't use next mode memory. No memory means it always starys on low

Q: Why are 4pcs 18650's included when the SP36 only uses 3pcs.

BG454864544 Actually, If you read the specs descriptio n further, there are no flat top cells included with this torch. Also, BLF i.e. Budget Light. Forums, recomends protected cells to be used with this torch as well. the Samsung 30q 18650's shown seems to be a marketing ploy...
