Varjom +1 on this question. Also have Samsung TV and I don't fully understand why the USB port limitation is a problem. Can we plug it to AC with adapter? Or the USB needs to be connected to the TV for some reason?

Varjom Nope, as it has nothing to do with Xiaomi. But you can link everything with Google Home.
