Deluxa82 UPDATE pls read!!!!...ok thats annoying. After week of using this camera for octoprint (Pi 3B worked more than half year without any problem) my Pi no longer boot. I figured out the MXL7704 chip (3v3 voltage regulator) is gone. Of course camera is also powered with 3.3v a there is main problem what I mentioned before. Infrared lights is on all the time whatever lighting conditions are. Take too much power from Pi, no any option how to control it . I am 100% the camera IR lights burned out chip not camera itself. It's up to you whether you use a camera with this IR backlights or not (at first glance all is working fine..) but there is a high probability that your Pi will also burn!!!
