Q: Can this be used to power a Rapberry Pi 4, from a power supply delivering 24v 6 amp (I know the pie does not consume more then it needs). I have a hard time understanding what is in, and what is out, from the picture here

Slobber70 yes, a Raspberry Pi will run perfect on this module. The power out (5v) is where the USB connector is located.

Slobber70 it's just a readswitch, you can switch 12 volt if you want.

Q: When plugged into my laptop, the LCD works perfectly as a display. But theres no sound. Even my laptop's sound didn't work when used with this LCD. Is there a reason why?

Slobber70 Windows redirect your sound to the HDMI, but there's no speaker on the other side of the cable. Check your sound settings and set your sound to your laptop speakers.
