Q: Can you engrave photos on stainless tags with this device?

JeroenHaringman The seller's answer is absolute nonsense, the laser is 5.5 watts, definitely NOT 40 watts. I wish the seller would stop continuing this lie. the entire device (controller + stepper motors + laser) doesn't even draw 40 watts. I don't know if you can engrave stainless Steel, I've not tried that, but aim going to guess it may be difficult.

JeroenHaringman The product information page clearly states that the unit uses the RS485 protocol, a widely-used industry standard for serial communication.

Q: what is the 5 v power used for with passive antenna?

JeroenHaringman That's definitely nonsense, this antenna is a passive component and does not need power.

JeroenHaringman 660 nm (nanometer) is red. This is essentially a panel of red LEDs.
