The soldering iron works fine with a battery or simple power supply (I tested with 12V and 24V so far). Heats up quickly and seems to hold the temperature quite well. The temperature display updates a little too often and sometimes jumps quite erratically. Unfortunately the USB-C plug on the device suggests that this can be used with a generic USB-C power supply but that does not work for me. At least no with my 60W USB-C PD supply (which works fine with my laptop, tablet and phone). I have to use

Ordered 2 of them, both have a problem with the upper screw that holds the tip: you can’t tighten it because of the bad plastic case moulding. You can use the bottom screw though. For hobby work only!

Reaaaaally. nice, didn't expect such a good package, comes. with many tools, extra screw, and the case. is beautiful . Compact also, thought would be bigger but is not which is much better for transportation
