I received these walkies-talkie and their specs are as they described, small enough to be fit in the pocket, the back clip is useful to hanging on clothes. Voice is strong enough and understood by the external speaker. Now, concerning the range it is something very relative because it depends on many factors. For example, using them on streets with tall buildings we reached 500 meters range, but at this stage we had changed about 3 channels in order to hear each other and finally we stayed to a channel (was 14ch from 1 to 22) which was more clear without interference. But then i decided to go to a small hill and the other party remained in the area within the streets and tall buildings with a small movement and we were able to talk clearly within a range of 1,2 Km. This was the surprise because i hadn't visual contact and the other party was somewhere in streets with buildings, shops, church, traffic roads, wifi devices, etc. Therefore i suppose, that if the other party was at a corresponding point we would have range maybe more than 2 km, so I repeat that are many factors to achieve long range and clear conversation even the weather conditions. A few tips.. Try to play with channels (1-22) if you have patience, into a fixed point both parties in order to achieve clear conversation and repeat those steps in a longer distance if you are outdoorsy and hobby-freak like me. Install rechargeable batteries and make sure that are in properly charged condition (each one). A few tips.. Keep the device with the antenna facing to the sky and not lower than the middle of your body. That's all folks.
