This would have been an excellent light if the clip would hold to the battery tube. In my case it easily releases the clip, which renders this flashlight a lot less useful. It must be said that other buyers got this light with a good clip. Otherwise this little light offers a lot of floody light and it has my favourite user interface Anduril. It also has a magnet in its tail, but the magnet is not nearly as powerful as the one in the Astrolux HL01 That light has the same user interface, but is more of a thrower and that one is rather heavy. The battery extends all the way under the head of the EDC18,. This is why it can be so small. With 3 emitters it does produce quite some heat on higher output, but it has an automatic (and adaptable) heat protection function that reduces the output when it gets too hot. There is even a short battery tube availabe here for 18350 cells. It is well made and it comes with a nice g.i.t.d. silicone diffuser
