I must have been the last person to purchase the Desktop UV Sterilization lamp on the site, because right after I ordered it, I no longer see this one listed. Unlike the portable "wand" & cell phone uv Sanitizers I bought, this item took a long time to arrive, the others (with my expedited shipping) arrived in about 20 days, this item took well over a month, closer to six weeks, which kind of annoyed me, but it did finally arrive, and in good (well packed) condition Everything was in tact, so I read the directions, plugged it in to give it a test run, the uv lamps lit, & I tested the remote functionality & also the on/off switch to ensure everything was working as it should, then I placed the unit in my bedroom (a 12x12 foot room) for about 30 minutes. I didn't notice any odor as the manual suggests after letting the unit run for 30 minutes, but maybe the ozone functionality isn't working on my device, or there wasn't much ozone produced because I keep a clean home normally, I guess when I try this over the weekend in some other rooms (my kitchen, living room & bathroom) I'll get a better sense for how well this works, I don't have a uvC test meter to ensure the item is functioning within spec, but I'm expecting the measurement took I ordered from amazon to arrive shortly, so I can better gauge how well this device is functioning or not. Overall, it's a sturdy build, lightweight, & if it holds true to it's claim, should be a worthy investment.
