I ordered it because I wanted to use it as a finishing for my axes. I use it in a Makita small grinder. As the grinder's speed is faster than it should for adding the polishing compound you get a good mess around. It's not flat you need to use some abrasive first to make it smooth and even. Better to do this outside as the small particle will float in the air :) It takes a while until you find out the right force to push it to the compond rod (crayon like) but after that it gives a good overall surface.
