Bought 2 strips. First one I tested had 4 LEDS acting erratically. The strip also seemed not as bright as I expected, but I had no prior experience, so didn't know how bright it should be. The 4 bad LEDs changed depending on how many of the good LEDs were lit. This made me suspect low voltage to the strip, but my power supply measured good. When I put the bad strip under a magnifier lens to look for poor solder joints on the bad LEDs, I noticed the red (+5V) wire soldered to the strip was very flimsy compared to the black. Turns out when the wire was stripped and soldered at the factory, most of the strands were nicked off. Worked fine and was much brighter after I re-soldered that wire. Second strip was fine.
