The I2C interface is easy to connect to any Arduino or ESP32/ESP8266. There are tons of open source libraries for this display, including Arduino Core and MicroPython. Easy to use. The library can scroll text if it doesn't fix display width. But ff you plan to show a lot text, buy the 20 char x 4 rows version. This is 16 x 2 rows.
