mulk1z It depens on your mains transformer power. In eg. is your transformer 72VA then primary winding working current is about 72VA divide 230VAC ~315ma, use 0.4AT250V (with time lag). You need transformer with few secondary windings for VA meter, cooling and so on, to avoid injecting noise. BETTER think about main secondary winding current ;) Here is useful few link you may like: www.eevblog.com_forum_beginners_bangood-psu-enhancements_msg897523_#msg897523 www.paulvdiyblogs.net_2015_05_tuning-030v-dc-with-03a-psu-diy-kit.html www.paulvdiyblogs.net_2017_07_my-new-power-supply-design-project-part.html P.S. in links replace all "_" sign with a "slash key" ;)

Q: how is a piece of resistance 3.5 dollars??????

Asked by banggtronecs on 2019-08-17 06:29:53

mulk1z itis power resistor for high currents! it is 100W also for full power use you need to mount on bigger heatsink and use cooler. This is not standart cheap resistor like 0.125W, 0.25w or 0.5W.
