Interesting concept, although I will add extra PU-coating to prevent the thin FR4 material from sucking water. The PCB material is definitely not for long term moisture exposure, but with a little coating I expect them to work several years :)

Q: Just wanted to clarify the usable GPIO pins for this board. As I had to figure out myself 35 and 34 are NOT GPIO pins as mentioned in the pinout. These two are only GPI pins without output capability. The other GPIOs with asterisk are not very useful either, so don't count on them!!

Q: How do you read the voltage of battery if you use the battery connection on the back? The example I found is referencing pin35, but that is not it on this board.

Moritz Wagner there is no voltage divider for battery measurement available on this board. you have to solder it to any of the spare adc pins but be careful with adc0-3 as they are a little special.

Short measurements displaying around 125mA in short circuit condition under direct sunlight, so these seem to really work well. Curious how long the epoxy will stay clear, but definitely worth the price!!!

They work well. The OLED is nice and Bright. But they are having some low power issues. Despite that it's great fun working with them! I'm just a little afraid of the wifi reception when seeing the antenna between the expansion board pins, but we'll see.
