Q: How this light getting on , manually or automatically by sensor?

dermo It`sa magnetic reaction to turn on-off, door opens and it turns on , door closes and it turns off, make sure to have the fixed magnet in the exact place it needs to be as to cause the magnetic reaction I can honestly say mine , and I bought 4 only lasted a few months
