Q: It is unclear. What is the the right polarity of the transducer?

Shai Thisis not a defect. It should be like this (to hold the plier/spring collet). You have to put it in an angle an push it in.
Q: where to use this device? what's its purpose? I am interested.

Shai Youcan use this device in a water system to control the flow, electrically. You can connect it to a regular double pole switch or to electronic circuit that control it automatically.
