Israfil Not very fast, this is a drift vehicle. If you put the right gearing and tires you can probably hit 30-40mph based on the specs, but as it comes you wouldn't really do more than 20 because its meant to controlled slide, not grip.

Israfil The 102 does actually work ok with the stock body, the body posts are so flexible that they actually seem to line up better with the holes in 102 than they did as 98.

Israfil I'm honestly glad they've created a 10th scale buggy finally. I hope the next is a 10th scale truck, to compete with the rc10T series, or maybe a short course truck, though I prefer stadium truck. I'm sure they'll keep putting on the pressure, but brushless costs money and these are meant to get you into the hobby. As a 10th scale this vehicle needs more torque than 12 or 14 because its heavier, so its geared lower and the motor has to do more work for it. They have a low cost deal, Im sure, on the specific motor with a factory so changing will cost them and thus US money. We are better off as consumers just buying their brushed versions and upgrading them to race spec brushless monsters if we like, and the younger and newer people can still learn with the brushed motors and slower speeds.

Israfil It uses the same motor and esc as the smaller 1:12 and 1:14 scale models but is heavier, it should naturally be slower. Most people who care about speed will upgrade to brushless or wait for their brushless version, which will be much faster.

Q: Is this buggy really waterproof as claimed on its box? Or just water-resistant?

Israfil I wouldnt count on it being more than water resistant. A little splash from a puddle here or there may be ok, but youre better off operating it on dry land.

Israfil Its perfect for track use. The tires are carpet tread tires for some reason, but they work ok on dirt too and especially on a track with small straights and a lot of twists and turns this thing would be perfect. (Brushed motor isn't that fast, but its got some torque)

Israfil I doubt anyone but reviewers are gonna buy this car. This is an SG, NOT a team associated, and for LESS THAN THIS you can get the Team Associated Pro4 Sc10 which is WAY better...like...world championship grade better. Anyone who bought this for more than maybe 170 got ripped off.
