I had two problems with the assembly of the tester. I swapped the 3.3 K (3K3) and 33K resistor and had a solder bridge on one of the transistors. Be very careful with the resistors, as they are very hard to read and there are similar values used. It would be best to measure all then mark. Once I got it working then I tried to assemble the case. This is a puzzle as there are no instructions at all for the case.Do not use any of the parts that remain from the tester, use the bag of hardware that came with the case. I started with the bottom, use the shorter standoffs then put the tester board on these, thread the longer standoffs into these. The sides are fairly easy to figure out, as the openings only fit one way. I used masking tape to hold the sides together while I put the top and screws in. Take your time and it is a great kit.

woodwaker I just finished upgrading mine to 1 meter side to side. You need 3 pieces the front and back and the laser head piece. You will also need a new belt for the laser motor. I made new cables for the two side motor. You can use one of the side motor cable for the laser motor, but will need a new laser cable. One i got all of the parts put together and cables working it was great..

woodwaker I think I have figured out the resistors - R9,R10 and R15 are 3.3K R11,R12 R13 and R14 are 50 Ohm. I'm not sure about R15, but it seems to work. I have no idea what the switches do (S1 to S3) the display changes when they are pushed, but not sure what they do. The instructions seem to be lacking on these points.

I ordered this set of three car kits. I received two, and a third of the simple light tracking kit. The two correct kits look OK, but have no instructions at all, and there is no link on the product page. The schematic shown on the product page is NOT for this kit, but is the schematic for the simple light tracking car kit. I have no idea what the buttons do with out some kind of instructions or correct schematic

Product quality is very good, but not suitable to expand an Eleksmaker machine. When ordered, I assumed that the Eleksmaker's wheels would fit, but the profile is different in detail. I would be grateful if someone can advise where to buy Eleksmaker compatible profiles – many thanks in advance!

I have built 4 of these now. LOTS of fun. The first one had one bad digit, but still fun to build. A little tricky to set them with just one switch

these are nice little kits to build. I have learned that on this inexpensive kits to buy at east two, so if you make a mistake you can learn from it and have one that works. The chip on a stick is a little tricky on how to install and solder.

I received it about 10 days ago, and took my time researching how to assemble. I got the newer version that does not have the corner metal pieces, so be careful to matcht information for the kit you received. You tube is the best way to get assembly directions. After experimenting and watching many you tube videos, I came across T2 Laser software. This is well worth the investment, you can try it for free and if happy purchase it . Overall I'm very impressed with this kit

I have done lots of soldering over the last 50 years, but never SMD's before. I built 15 of the smaller three color Christmas trees and they worked fine. Thought I would try this one with the MP3 player. The SMDs in the kit are much more difficult to solder, and this is not the best kit to learn how to do it. It is a good kit, but i really made a mess of it, learned a lot and got better as I went. I had solder bridges on the larger IC that I could not get clear, so took it off and the tree now works, but no MP3. Another suggestion, I learned from the smaller trees, built each tree part then test it with a battery pack or 5 volt supply before soldering everything together. I had a bad LED and put one in upside down, easy to fix when it is not soldered to the base. The kit included extra parts which is great, but caused me some concern until I figured out that there were extra parts. You will also need a good magnifying glass to read the SMD part numbers.
