Patrick yes very satisfied the pipe is somewhat short about a meter long and there's a few modifications I will do to it like welding the chimney holder in place since I plan on using it inside a tent to heat up the space I do not want the smoke stack to fall. beside that it's very well made.

Patrick a current shunt is a low value resistor that is use to measure the amperage that's flowing throughout the circuit. This kit is supply with one along with instructions how to install it.

Patrick Any standard diode of at least an amp would work, and I would believe at the solar panel would be the best place since the controller need to read battery voltage when charging. Other option would be to build a little circuit that control a relay to the battery to disconnect it when the solar panel is not producing power. Cheers!
