Q: what is maximum depth measured by this?

mbogelund That's not how it works, it's not a distance sensor. It doesn't measure the distance from where it's installed to where the water surface is. It measures whether there is water where it's installed or not. So you can for example install it below normal water level and get a message when the water level drops below that point, or install it above normal water level and get a message when the water rises to that point.
