These motors are good for about 5 or 6 hours running before the brushes fail, so get a couple of spares. The brushless motors in the V977 and V930 last a lot longer but they are also 4x the price! The V966 motor is very easy to replace, just being a friction fit housing, but some adhesive is needed to properly secure it in place. I tried silicone but it didn't adhere strongly enough to the metal. I tried holt melt and but the motor gets hot enough when running to melt the glue! Currently trying adhesive tape wrapped around the motor and mounting. Whatever you use you have to be able to remove it readily when comes time to replace the motor. Some form of adhesive is definitely needed as without it in a crash the motor can spin in its mounting. This twists up the connecting wires and could break them.
