I have to say that for my application this thing works extremely well. Make sure to download U-Blox software, set the baud rate to 19,200 and then turn on autobaud, got a fix within seconds. This unit is also relatively easy to hack for an arduino or RPI if anyone is looking for a good GPS at a low price. Arrived within a week!

It looks good. I haven't used it yet so I don't know how with the accuracy and speed of the directions.

Similar to another reviewer I have had issues with the USB connection not being recognized by two different computers running two different OS's. I wanted this for a stratux box and although that box reads a VK-172 fine it never shows a connection with the vk-162. This matches what occurs on a windows 7 box where the Ublox software as well as the windows OS fails to see that a device has been inserted. A VK-172 works fine. Customer service has been less than helpful asking for either a video or pictures, although what these would show other than that the device does not connect is unclear. I have given them screen shots and will await their evaluation. The attached screen caps showing one disconnected is with the VK-162 attached and the one showing a solution is the vk-172

Excellent product received quickly and completely according to the description, works very well under Windows without having to install any driver (Windows 10). Cable long enough to be placed in the best position. I am very satisfied with my order.

antenna is OK, the problem is that there is no navigation software so it does not work like compact GPS for cars like Garmin.
