Purchased this a on a whim, I always was curious to see if these actually worked... very impressed it worked like magic using the power of the sun, I will put this in my tackle box!

Surprisingly, the lighter works! It needs a direct sunlight, of course, otherwise its hard to light anything. It's made from plastic, but the reflective coating is fine and does the job. It can be used to light small paper balls and make a fire.

Cigarette lights in seconds once you line up with the sun. Dry grass, pine needles whatever you stick in the spring mechanism up in smoke it goes. Seems well built. My previous solar lighter purchased off Banggood has stood the test.

I bought this just for fun, but in the meanwhile, got PIR sensor (non-contact thermometer), and it has too wide angle. So, this reflector will serve as focusing device for measuring temperature of the distant objects. Thanks.
