I expected this to be a somewhat useless item. I gave it a try and to my surprise it worked very well. It worked on stainless steel pots and pans, copper bottomed pans and enameled cast iron pots. Just take your time and do not peel the tape down too far and you will have good success. I found that by placing a plastic tube around the item it worked better, the tight plastic tube kept the fibers standing up straight(the plastic tube was a old pill case with the bottom cut out).
