Not sure what happened here but, after doing 2 rides with it, it started up and started to smoke a lot. I then saw a wire from the random capacitor hanging came loose from the solder on the esc. Even before then, it runs extremely hot so my only assumption is that it came loose earlier while running hot or the wire came loose after the smoke. Regardless, would not expect this to happen after 2 drives, and it's not the cheapest of components so would be hesitant to buy it.
