It works as advertised. I setup with 2 lipos batery 6s each. 50v. Plus watter cooling. But there is an issue: Device only reaches 40amps ( and even more) if induction coil full of material. That means if you want to temper a small bolt (2€ coin size), device does not grow up more than 6 amp!! (5amps at start with empty coil). This means the coin never reach even red. So, it works, but not good to temper small parts. I am disapointed because is more a "toy" than a "tool". Good to do experimentacion only, but in this case you have cheaper devices to play. If anyone knows how to increase power to work small parts i would apreciate your ideas. Thank you.

  • samtree Dear friendThe reason is that this coil ( 7 cm diameter) is practically HUGE for what you want to do. You must have a much bigger test specimen to obtain the power that this coil can deliver. Try with coils of a smaller diameter, let's say 5 mm larger than your test specimen. If you can find some copper pipe with inner diameter of about 3-4 mm, you can construct your own water-cooled coils and I believe you will get very good results from this device.
