These DVM's are easily readable. You can change them to allow lower voltage readings. The DVM comes with a black wire on pin 1 & a Red wire on Pin 2. Pin 3 is unconnected. 1. Removing the 0 ohm resister on the board. It's very small so be careful to not destroy the board. It is marked with 1 or more 0's You may need a magnifying lens to see it. 2. Solder another color wire to Pin 3, this is the test voltage pin. 3. Connect a 2.5V-30V supply to the Black and Red wires. This will power the DVM 4. Connect your device needing tested to Pin 1 (GND) and Pin 3 (+) to get the voltage reading of your device. I connected 3.7VDC to Pin 1 & Pin 2 to power the DVM. My test voltages came from 4 18650 Li-Ion cells in series. GND connected to Pin 1 and + from the cells to Pin 3 showing 16.4VDC. The voltage to power the DVM on Pin 1 & Pin 2 doesn't need to be as large or larger than the voltage you are needing to test.
