It was very well packed. The tube is a little shorter, so it has to be put on carefully and it works. I have one more tube and it is longer than the connectors on the board. Life is sometimes quite complicated :-) The device works, I tried it on an old CRT TV. It was necessary to attach the tube directly to the screen and then it beeped quite quickly. I can't verify accuracy and sensitivity, so I have it as a fun toy.

The Geiger counter arrived after two weeks in UK with the tube safely packed in a piece of plastic pipe. The PCB can accommodate tubes of 2 lengths. Unfortunately the shipped tube is shorter than the smallest position and it is not firmly hold in position. What I did was de-solder one holder, drill another hole in the PCB and then re-solder the holder. This has shortened the gap with 8mm and now to tube is hold properly in place. I've purchased a thorium gas lantern mantle (from old stock) and verified that the counter works. The tube is not the most sensitive but can be replaced if needed. The anode voltage is around 400V. Before and after the mod pictures are attached.

Very Interesting kit, able to measure beta and gamma radiation, depending on the tube you have. the one include can do both Good documentation and code exemples availble on a drive to guide you. (see product description) Seems like you can mount a varaity of tubes and tune the input voltage as well.

This arrived extremely well packed, with some minor assembly needed (tube and top cover)... initially it made a hell of a screech when turned on, but a bit of emery rubbed on the GM tube contacts and the test jumper removed fixed the issue. I've always wanted a Geiger Counter, and love it!!!! I plan to connect it in with the GPS receiver, mini display and store the values to an sd card in CSV format.

Cheaper geiger counter This is a good geiger counter at cheaper price, perfect to connect with a ESP or arduino module to make a portable radioactivity meter. The board show the particle detected via a buzzer a red led and via TTL pulse output. The module can be connected to battery pack (primary or NI-Mh cell) or directly powered from an Arduino or ESP module via 5V pin. Useful to continuos meter the enviromental radioactivity. A good Geiger counter +++

Go unlucky and received a unit from a lower quality batch. No support for the ICs, missing resistor meaning the power LED does not work, badly connected resistor, and even an inductance mounted SMD style because the leads were cut too short. The solder joints have not been heated enough and the solder did not penetrate in the vias. The board is pretty dirty (flux and solder residues that could short tracks). Otherwise, the device works and is quite cheap. It comes with a lot of accessories which is useful.

Excellent product, for a fantastic price. Comes mounted and brings some accessories. You have very good sensitivity. I tested it in radiology and nuclear medicine rooms. I'll try to connect you to the arduino so I can visualize the ionizations detected by the camera. I recommend. Here's the link to the video for anyone who wants to see

The product matches the description. At the time of purchase, the best price. Thanks to the seller for packing the meter tube came not broken (the most important thing in this device). The quality of the soldering is not at the highest level (probably solder drops hit the charge - perhaps it is a private case, fortunately without closure), which did not affect the performance. After the connection has started immediately base problems, the indicator blinks, the beep is present.

On first order the device arrived broken and they forwarded it to me. On this second occasion, the device arrived almost whole, working, but with the protective plastic broken... as this part was not functional, I did not worry so much. Packaging is very poor, causing breakage of different elements. With regard to operation, it works, although it is not overly representative. In my case, I have mounted a project that I found on the internet, following which, the detector was connected with a clone of arduino nano and by means of a bluetooth module with an app for android devices that allows to graphically represent the counts. I don't have any professional device or properly calibrated to make a comparison, however, in an indicative way, you can see when the radiation level goes up and when it doesn't, although sometimes, it seems to be a bit random...
