Quite a handy tool, especially for cars and motorcycles. Operation with the thumb wheel is a bit cumbersome at first, but works OK. The scope displays OK up to about 300 kHz, then every waveform starts to look like a sine wave. But that is plenty for normal troubleshooting. The signal generator works surprisingly well. It's rated up to 10 kHz, but it actually works fine up to 20 kHz. Wave forms are surprisingly crisp. Battery live is good. I used it for an hour and battery still showed full. It came with a standard quality probe and a cable with alligator clips. I wish it had a second alligator clip cable or a banana plug adapter for slow signals. I have a "grown-up" scope for more demanding applications, but I hate to take it to the workshop or balance it in the engine bay. This little scope is 2/3 the size of a cell phone; the screen is fairly bright and the resolution is good enough for trouble-shooting. The scope screen also shows stats on the waveform, like frequency, amplitude, duty cycle etc. I found them very useful and accurate. The Auto function is a bit slow but works fine, mostly. Sometimes it doesn't quite get it right and needs a bit help. Some of the signal generator settings could be improved (limit the Hz setting to 20K, limit the duty cycle setting to 99%) Considering the price tag, this thing is a fantastic tool for trouble shooting or for educational purposes.
