It's not perfect but it is the one. I love the fact you do not need a computer to use this, easy to operate standard features. My old Freeview HDD, streaming stick, PC, games console or anything that has an HDMI output. It can't record of an smart tv as TV's do not have hdmi out, just in. Battery life is just under 2 hours, but it's usually always plugged in when in operation. Cons: The remote sensor is not on the same side as the screen so is very hard to use the remote, if you wish to see the screen whilst outputting to the tv. I have a small tabletmobile phone holder to help, otherwise the remote sensor would be blocked if sat on it's side. The timer mode is very limited. Can't attach external harddrive or usb flashdrive. Usb port is for power or connecting to PC. (I only use sd card when transferring. Files are a max of around 24 minutes (3.88GB) however films, etc record seamlessly into multiple files which are in time created order. On your PC you can rename and bunch files in folders if you wish. To sum it up best features, HDMI in & Out, a screen, PC independent

unbelievable awesome :) capture without legging. I tried highest quality (super fine). wow. perfect, but it was about 12gb. 4 files. So I tried normal quality. it is more yhan enough. This is a modern video device: record playbak. a piece of art. I enjoy it very much. highly recommanded.
