I’ve never had a vent for my stove. We are constantly having issues with smoke and our smoke alarm going off from grease popping when we cook so far I have had no issues with this and it really helped us avoid that circumstance,which is super helpful as I’m tired of the alarm going off great product I like.

The kitchen in our new house doesn’t have a vent over the stove. We may install one later but this thing works great! I use it when I cook on the stove or when I use my indoor grill. Not to loud even when on high.
