I am very pleased to have purchased this drill or screwdriver guide. I must say that I was a bit skeptical at first because I had read the reviews of BG374354716 and Jan who complained about the lack of precision in the perpendicularity of the guide, because the two axes or trees, if you prefer, moved too much and the reason was because they were not tightened properly. I solved the problem by inserting, in place of the two hexagonal head pins, two pins with Allen joint and a split washer (see photo 3). Being able to tighten the pins more easily, the result is that the guide is now perfectly perpendicular and does not suffer from any inaccuracies. Great buy, as always, from Bang Good.

It's not that precise as a drill press because the bars are moving a little bit but it's much better than free hand. Overall I like it. OH, and I got scared because when I got the package there was something else on the picture

I bought this to avoid getting a drill press for the little drilling I do but ended up buying a proper drillpress anyway. Part of the reason for this, is that this tool improves accuracy but it did not get to the accuracy I wanted. The idea is very good that you have two guide shafts that steers the drill down. The power drill attaches straight to the axel so that the concetricty precision does not rely on your exising power tool but the built-in bearing and check. While there is a small amount of play this is not the issue in the big picture. The issue are with the two guide shafts. A) using the drill depth limiter causes, due to compression differences on the depth stop side and the other side, the drill to tilt when pressed down. This can be resolved by removing the depth limiter and relying on the old fasion tape method. B) locking the shaft angles does not result in a very fixed positon. I have found myself drilling slightly slanted holes when I though the shafts were perpendicular to the surface only to find the out of alignment after doing the drill operation. The issue are the plastic angle adjustment items. The dont lock firm and are difficult to check for square. Now it may sound like harsh critisism but I think my expectations were too high for this type of accessory. It does in fact help to drill squarer vs hand held and improves precision but not as much as I wished for. I think it will come useful and I will continue to use it, but for holes truely square against the material and for repeated action I will look to the drillpress.

It's ok. but looks like either rough shipment or the product is already used?

I tried a bunch of these things from other Platforms, and i was always super dissapointed how unsteardy the things are. This one, to my suprise, is very stable at 90 degrees, of course you have to keep it fastend to get a accurate hole, but with other products like this that was basically impossible. Great stuff for an acceptable price.

Lightweight portable tool in the absence of a table drill press or where the table drill press can’t be used. Understandably it isn’t as sturdy, precise, stable and robust as one would wishfully hope from a portable convenient tool to be.

It is not very precise. The adjustment must be made by eye and this is not good.
