Ordered 22nd Oct 2020 and arrived 2nd Nov 2020. Supposed to have shipped from China. The package arrived via UK's Royal Mail with a UK return address (probably a mail forwarder). Items in the box are as described. I knew the description stated EU mains cable & plug but it's a shame they don't give the option of UK Plug especially when Banggood/JCD knows it going to the UK. No problem ... it's a standard IEC "kettle" lead and I have a coupe of spares. There was NO printed manual inside the box. There was a JCD warranty card inside the box. Not it really means anything - especially if one has to return the unit to China - economically not viable. Hot air gun works fine. I cannot measure the temperature accurately but I tried an Oven Roaster thermometer that only goes up to 300 degrees C. The output temp at the nozzle seems 20 to 30 degrees LOWER than the one set and displayed by JCD display. Fan setting F10 seems to be best for DESOLDERING but NOT for resoldering since it's too fast as it blows away very tiny SMD components. Actually, it would blow those tiny sub 1mm components when desoldering if get too close. The UP/DOWN and FAN buttons are quite stiff. They are membrane buttons and NOT real buttons on the surface. You really have to press hard for them to have any effect. And if the Station is not mounted down, it slips around the desk/work-surface when you press the button. Not a big deal but something to be aware of. Automatic cool-down function works well when the gun is placed in the holster. If you had you set the temp to say 400 and you put the gun down in the holster, the Station switches off the heat but keeps the fan running and you will see the temp wind down to 100 degrees C and then eventually switch OFF displaying "- - -". The soldering iron is OK. BUT the supplied Tip (conical) is VERY POOR Quality. At 350 degrees C, it lasted JUST 5 MINUTES !!. It is now completely oxidized and totally useless. Cannot re-tin it. Need to order news set :(

  • Totalguy cheapenough to cut the plug off and fit a uk one or just buy a new cable for the uk. i had a spare so i used that.
