Before reviewing I have to warn any readers that I have received this product as a free trial, so take my review with a grain of salt. The package was packed nicely, everything is protected by lots of cardboard, You can see in the pictures and in the item description what cables come in the box, all you need extra is a 5V/0.5V usb charger or just stick it in your pc usb slot. I tested the device in RX and bypass mode, couldn't test it in TX mode since I don't own any bluetooth speakers and I couldn't connect to my car stereo since I have to input pairing numbers which this device doesn't support (the only buttons are for pairing and audio control). In RX mode, I connected my speakers to the box and connected via bluetooth to the box from my phone, and everything worked nicely. Couldn't hear any problems in the sound and was pleasantly suprised how fast and good it works. Bypass mode literally just makes a connection between your audio device and media device and here to prior connections, I just added aux cable between the box and my pc. Switching into bypass mode, the sound came on from pc, and switching back to RX mode worked almost instantly and music started playing from my phone. In bypass mode, I couldn't hear any loss in sound quality but I don't have the best speakers nor audio testing equipment to back that up. As I said prior, you need a usb charger or free pc usb slot to charge this device. This device does come with a built in battery, I haven't tested how long it works since I don't plan on using it without a power supply at all times. Having a battery is a nice addition but kinda overkill since all outdoor speakers today have built in bluetooth, so I can't see the use for a battery inside this box. I can already see this device as a great addition to my stuff of gadgets since I do have some speakers and home cinema which require aux connection and with this box I can just connect via bluetooth and carry my phone/laptop around.

I liked the quality of material, but when you plug in the aux cable in bypass mode, when you plug in the optical cable, it turns off the optical input directly, and I thought I could do two different devices at the same time, and there were so many options on it, you could have a key to choose between the cable inputs. I sent an email from the manufacturer to get technical information from him but there was no return

This device lets you add Bluetooth capability to a wired audio system. It has a good wireless range, easily reaching my whole house, even through walls. The battery lasts all day, but I’ll probably just leave it plugged in. Audio quality is surprisingly good for the price-point.Delivery was pretty good (16 days from order), the goods were securely packaged, and the build quality is excellent. The device can be used in three modes: 1) TX : This mode takes a wired input from an audio device and transmits it to a Bluetooth device. In this mode, the BW-BR7 mode switch is set to the TX position, the audio device is connected to the “tx input” jack and the BW-BR7 is paired with the output Bluetooth speakers or headphones. This pairing is achieved by putting the Bluetooth output device in pairing mode and then double-clicking the “search button” on the BW-BR7. It took me a few goes to get a successful pairing, but I got there in the end. 2) RX : This mode takes input from a paired Bluetooth device and sends it to a connected wired audio device In this mode, the BW-BR7 mode switch is set to the RX position, the audio device (speakers or headphones) is connected to the “rx output” jack Bluetooth and the BW-BR7 is paired with the Bluetooth source. This way round, pairing is straight-forward and typically involves entering pairing mode on a smartphone or computer and choosing the BW-BR7 from a presented list of options. 3) Bypass: This mode takes a wired input from an audio device and sends it to another connected wired audio device In this mode, the BW-BR7 mode switch is set to the Bypass position, the audio input device is connected to the “tx input” jack and the output audio device is connected to the “rx output” jack. Bluetooth is not used and no pairing is needed. This mode lets you switch between wired and Bluetooth configurations without having to plug in and unplug devices. The BW-BR7 packs a lot of functionality into an attractive compact well engineered product.

Really pleased with product performance - audio quality improvement from my home theatre BT receiver (SBC) versus the HD on the BW-BR7 is chalk and cheese. All controls are on the device itself, i.e. you need to set it to "pass-through" as it does not automatically apply pass-through if no BT device is connected. This is as advertised, but still worth noting. Audio jitter/delay from TV optical out also excellent.
