Item looks good. The ball is rubberised, and is made of very light alloy metal. Is very light compared to genuine RAM mounts and paint is just a light layer paint and it scratches easy. I believe it will do the job, and for the price is good.

Good bases for mounting a range of - preferably metal - phone holders, thereby converting them to "RAM" mount compatibility. I like that the two point fixation reduces flexural moment from torque due to acceleration, as I don't have much confidence in single point fixation alternatives.
