item came well packaged, fans were not bolted in, so you have to do it and then bolt heatsink. Make sure you don't tighten the fans too much as it will stop them work. Just tighten until you feel resistance. They do make noise but they are quite low, recommended to add some foam to bottom if you placing it on a desk as the vibration will occur.

I've been using it without a cooler before, and with this cooler there's a marked reduction in processor temperature. Fan noise is not annoying to me, it doesn't sound much.
