    As describes there really have 7 pins so you can actually use multime oled with one single arduino. They are great, the only downside, this module has no rc network for the reset pin onboard so you will have to make one in order to work propely, works great with u8glib ! have fun with it

    If you want to use this module in I2C mode do the following: Setting up SPI/I2C Connection with GMS096A OLED Module Being a new entry to the market, only limited resources are available on this small piece of miracle (GMS096A). I2C/SPI configuration always demands helpful resources as in any case. For the SPI setup, the module comes in 4 wire SPI configuration by default and to make it work with the arduinos you can use these libraries from Adafruit. For the I2C setup it demands a little bit of work on the module. Actually it was one of our customers who shared these simple configuration steps with us, start with resoldering the resistor from position R3 to R1 and then short the R8 resistor with some solder tin (0 Ohm resistor). The R6 and R7 pullup resistors are already soldered, nothing to do there. Once done, the module is ready for I2C communication! The CS Pin is not necessarily needed, so just connect it to GND. The DC Pin selects the address. For standard address wire it to GND. The RES-pin needs a low pulse at startup and high voltage during operation (as in SPI mode), a 100nF capacitor to GND and a 10k res to VCC would be ideal!     This display is perfect and very good quality. It comes very well protected with an anti-static environment. Banggood really heals shipments. I found the code for the display and it's perfect. The afiichage and what I expected, PERFECT - Cet afficheur est parfait et de très bonne qualité. Il est livré très bien protégé et avec un entourage anti-statique. Banggood soigne vraiment les envois. J'ai trouvé du code pour l'afficheur et c'est parfait. L'afiichage et ce que j'en attendais, PARFAIT

    Most these mini OLED screens on offer online like this are of the 4 pin variety, some other shops even advertise them to be six pin, yet send you a 4 pin one anyway after buying! Thankfully Banggood send the 7 pin OLED screen you'd expect. If you're wanting to learn about more than just I2C (which the 4 pin versions do) then this a good option, both for the price and for the reliability of getting the part you desired. If you don't mind some de/soldering you can even change the screen from the default mode by shifting connections on the back, which is a really nice addition. Comes with a screen protector on it and in a mini antistatic bag and set up for 4SPI mode. Can operate on I2C, 4SPI or 3SPI modes via the soldering and track changes on the back. Search online for "OLED 4SPI", "OLED 3SPI" or "OLED I2C" (or IIC) to find software and guides for using this. These OLEDs all operate on similar principles so it will turn up useful info.

    unlike the I2C only version, this requires you to supply a reset signal. connecting to Arduino's MCU reset does not work most of the time - like 9/10 fails. I have to dedicate a DIO pin to reset it with code. it took me hours to convert from default SPI interface to I2C because of the reset problem that preventing any display.

    Works as advertised. It's clear screen. Used for showing a menu. It's damaged tho when it came in the mail. There is a scratch in the screen. If you look at it up close you could see it. But other than that it's a nice screen.

    The lack of datasheet is a bit of a letdown for this display. Works fine in SPI mode with the Adafruit libraries, but suffers with corruption in I2C mode. Still giving a good review as it works great as an SPI display, but I have ended up loosing 2 solder pads trying to get it working in I2C mode.

    Works perfectly with the Adafruit library. Comes configured for SPI, so you'll have to rewire for i2c.
