I use it (3 samples ordered) to get 12V (output) from 10V to 14V as input, <1A. A "problem" occurs when a load is connected before applying 10 to 14V at input, if output current is higher than 0.3A. It takes a big current (3A, perhaps no oscillation <0.4V as output). Less than 0.3A as output current works well, and if we connect load when output tension is present, no problem, it works fine (not tested with more than 1A for output, it is more than I need). Yield 83-85% (for my use @12V/0.5A) 46°C the chip and back side (rather homogeneous), 50° the hotest part : the output coil (filtrering), not mesured at higher current(s).
