The device is not protected against rain. The live wire will soon be in water when installed with the arrow in upward direction. Only in upward down direction this device will not collect water, because there is a little hole in the white cap. As improvement I would recommend to use epoxy to seal the blue and white parts and not to drill a hole in the cap.

Ho acquistato altri di questi sensori e funzionano proprio bene. L'importante è non esporli alla pioggia battente in quanto non sono completamente impermeabili. In ogni caso occorre tenere la parte blu in alto e quella bianca (col foro per la condensa) in basso. L'inserimento in una scatola con coperchio trasparente o sotto una tettoia risolve ogni problema. Ottimi.

Good product, but I'm not sure the drawing for how to mount is correct. It has a hole on top of the white plastic - and if mounted as described the water will enter the unit. The best way to mount it is in fact the other way with the white plastic downwards . But anyway a good product
