I had to flash a Micronucleus boot loader via Arduino as ISP before I could program it via USB. Otherwise all good.

Many of my projects don't need the full capability of a 328P - a few I/O pins is all I need. The ATTINY85 is my "go to" MCU for such projects. This dev board is breadboard friendly and great for quick prototyping. I am happy to recommend it.
