I use these lights to put into some metal "signs" that my wife has hung in our backyard. They work very well. 3 AA type batteries to run them. I use NImH batteries, and I get about 5 hours of runtime with a set of batteries.

I got one item in red color and I will surely buy more colors soon. The string is very well made and because of the fact that it is battery-powered you can place it wherever you want!

I bought two strings - warm white and white. They are very well made and very bright. I'm powering them with NiMH rechargeable AA batteries, and they work well. The diffuser bulb comes off so that you can access the LED and insert it through a roughly 1/4" hole, then reattach the larger bulb (with the bubbles) that works as the light diffuser. I've ordered some more white bulbs - they give a very good Holiday feel to decorations. They operate in two modes - flashing and on.
